Mark Knox is an effective communicator and natural teacher who instructs with the purpose of lasting life-change.  “Taking root downward, bearing fruit upward” has become his theme as he seeks for deep, clear understanding of concepts and practical application of principles.

He was educated in Bible and Theology at Miami Christian College (Florida, now Trinity International University) and graduated from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio with a B.A. with studies in religion and philosophy.  His mentor/professor in those days, Dr. Bruce Stark, was “a combination of Francis Schaeffer, RC Sproul, and John Piper.”

Mark and his wife Carolyn have “solved the people puzzle” and been married for over 38 years.  They raised 2 sons, and now live with Shadow the Dog and the Amazing RoscoeDog in Mills River, North Carolina, which, in the words of Samwise in Lord of the Rings, is “like being at home and on holiday at the same time, if you understand me.”  He enjoys playing guitar, hiking, and video gaming.
